Traditional Water Heaters
When you are choosing a traditional hot water tank for your home in NH there are many sizes to choose from. They range from 40-gallon hot water storage tanks to large hot water tanks that are over 100 gallons. Fueling these traditional hot water tanks are many varieties of fuel. Natural Gas, LP, Heating Oil, or Electricity.
Hybrid Water Heaters aka Heat Pump Water Heater
When you use a Hybrid Water Heater, you are utilizing both a heat pump and also electric coils. Both of these systems are used to heat the water in your home. Hybrid Heat Pump Water Heaters can be used in multiple modes. They can run in heat pump mode only, the electric mode only, or both at the same time. When the Hybrid Heat Pump Water Heater is in hybrid mode it will use both the heat pump coils and electric coils and cycle between the too. Hybrid heat pumps need more room than regular water heaters for the air to circulate around them. You need a decent amount of surrounding air for a heat pump to work correctly. A heat pump works by removing the air for the surrounding ambient air. Most heat pump manufacturers recommend an area with at least 750 Ft3.
Tankless Water Heaters
A tankless water heater or an on-demand water heater as its also known works in a very energy efficient way. The tankless water heater uses very high powered burners to heat the water very quickly. The cool thing about tankless water heaters is it only heats up the water when you need it. Saving tons on energy because it doesn’t have to store water and continually heat it. Tankless water heaters are also smaller and take up less space in the home due to not having to store all the water. Imagine taking a shower that never ran out of hot water. That is exactly what a tankless water heater can do for you. Since it creates hot water on demand you will never run out. Now it can take a little longer for the hot water to reach you depending on your piping. But once the hot water is on tap you are all set. There is an endless supply of hot water.
